TESTIMONIAL

Rhea Khazen is a medical resident from the Faculty of Medicine of the Université Saint Joseph, Beirut. The LPCE laboratory was pleased to host her for an intership between the 22nd of April to the 31st of May.

Here her testimony:

“I have spent 6 weeks at the LPCE for an internship in molecular pathology as part of the European Masters in Molecular Pathology I am undertaking. To make it short, it was one of the most enriching experiences of my training so far. The workflow of the molecular unit is so dynamic that, despite the relatively short period of time I stayed there, I had the opportunity to follow deeply the daily routine work of the unit, touching both the diagnostics and research aspects, understanding the different molecular techniques and platforms, their advantages, and the challenges that are encountered in real life. I directly noticed that the molecular unit of the LPCE is always evolving and implementing new advances, which got me the chance to participate in few technical trainings during my internship. The team was very welcoming, and no one hesitated to share with me their expertise. Of course, my internship did not only cover the technical aspects of molecular pathology, thanks to the pathologists who showed me how to interpret results, and write complete pathology reports.
I thank each and every member of the LPCE team who made the most of my internship, hoping that I can come back for more!”
